PROJECTS

Education for Underprivileged

Sponsorship program

Our education team focuses on creating programming that brings underprivileged areas the infrastructure and supplies needed to improve education. The team’s efforts will tackle basic literacy and teach impoverished individuals how to look for higher paying wages.

WeCare will provide financial support that assures children can receive a proper education. We believe the best scenario for children to embrace education is when clothing, food, and housing are secured. In a 2012 UNICEF study, only 42.8% of males and 50.6% of female students were receiving a secondary education. WeCare will help fund these basic pillars of living allowing students to focus on school while garnering a sense of self-worth, self-confidence, and preparing them to enter the modern workforce with a sound moral character.

Our Program

Our projects aim to help those affected by hunger, illness, autism, and lack of healthcare services through education. From outreach programs that bring medical professionals to people in remote areas to grants that cover part or all of the cost of medical procedures. All of our projects focus on empowering people to learn more about preexisting conditions that may affect their health and giving them the tools to find where to find medical care.

One of the main issues with remote villages is their lack of knowledge on how to find resources to improve their quality of life. For the sake of providing a well-rounded education for the children and to help adults become more resourceful WeCare will bring technology and multimedia to remote villages in countries like Bangladesh. We believe the introduction of technology will incentivize individuals to read more, learn more, and to become self-dependent.

Healthcare

Our healthcare team focuses on offering health-related services to those who cannot afford it. It’s estimated that 1% of the world’s population suffers from autism. With Bangladesh’s population passing 160 million people it’s imperative that Autism services be available for all affected by the disorder. Offering behavioral, educational, and family therapies are found to reduce the symptoms of the disorder and support the healthy development of the affected individuals.

Our health care program also focuses on providing clean drinking water and clean sanitation to families who suffer from diarrhea and cholera in the third world countries. In a 2011 UNICEF study, 82.4% of Bangladesh’s rural areas used improved drinking water sources. We hope to close that gap and provide clean drinking water for all.
